I've done a good bit of records bragging about my shoes and I wanted this record to reflect the inner workings of the industry that we support. Sweatshops are to the shoe head as blood diamond mines are to the chain rocker. We get the rush of having the kicks but forget about the kids that get killed for shoes, the kids that kill themselves because they don't have the popularity that comes with the shoes, etc. People get caught in the present and lose the foundation so I wanted to bring it back with the music and the shoe culture. City, Lyriqs and Elespee stayed true to that with their own recollections of the foundation of their shoe game.
